Assignment:
Produce a 1.5-2.5 minute video + 4 – 10 picture photo story of a national news event using a mobile phone/ipod touch or point and shoot camera. We suggest you check the newspapers, TV news and web to see what is happening or find a newsworthy issue to illustrate. Post a photo gallery on your digital space with images captioned and meta dated using an appropriate workflow. You also need to post the video and add text, maps, microblog feeds if need be to explain the story. The object of the exercise is to test your resourcefulness in adapting to a breaking news story without your equipment backpack. The deadline for the assignment is October 23rd.
